Community Guidelines
How Kampers treat each other, and what happens when someone doesn't.
Why we have these
Kamper is for planning trips and sharing the outdoors with your crew and the wider camping community. These guidelines apply to everything you share: your profile and photo, public meals, community trips, teams, and anything you post on a trip. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account suspended.
Be kind
Treat other Kampers the way you’d treat the camp next to yours. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate based on who someone is, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Disagree about gear or campsites all you like, but keep it about the topic, not the person.
Keep it appropriate
Share only photos and content that are fit for everyone. No nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, or gore. Never share anything that sexualizes or endangers a minor. We remove it and report it to the authorities.
Be honest
Post real trips, real meals, and honest details. Community trips should match what the host plans: dates, campsite, costs, and what Kampers need to bring. Don’t pretend to be another Kamper, a brand, or a campground, and don’t post fake reviews or ratings.
No spam or scams
Don’t use Kamper to sell, advertise, or collect money outside a trip’s shared costs. No spam, chain posts, scams, or links meant to trick people. Trip hosts may share costs fairly with the Kampers who join, but never ask for payment details in the app.
Respect privacy
Don’t share someone else’s address, phone number, email, or photos of them without their permission. Registration details from a community trip are for that trip only; don’t reuse or share them.
Camp safely and legally
Don’t promote anything illegal or dangerous: camping where it isn’t allowed, ignoring fire bans, harming wildlife, trespassing, or unsafe stunts. Follow local rules, pack out what you pack in, and leave campsites better than you found them.
Hosting and joining trips
Hosts set clear expectations and look out for the Kampers who join. Joiners show up as agreed and let the host know if plans change. Either side can leave a trip that doesn’t feel right.
Report and block
Tap the menu on a profile, public meal, community trip, or team and choose Report. The Kamper you report isn’t told who reported them. You can also block a Kamper: you stop following each other and their public meals and trips disappear for you. We review every report within 24 hours.
What happens next
We remove content that breaks these guidelines. Depending on how serious it is, we may warn the Kamper, suspend their account, or delete it for good. Threats to someone’s safety may be shared with the authorities.
Contact
If you think we got a decision wrong, or someone is in danger and the app can’t help, email ppromerojr@gmail.com. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
